Who is responsible?
Junglewondergadget Research Ltd is responsible for personal information it processes through editorial correspondence and the operation of junglewondergadget.site. Our registered office is 18 Pembroke Street Upper, Dublin 2, D02 RY79, Ireland; CRO 784216. For privacy matters, email [email protected] with “Privacy” in the subject.
Reading and technical information
This site's own code contains no analytics, advertising pixels, profiling scripts or third-party embeds. Pages and image files are requested from the website host. Delivering those requests necessarily involves technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time.
Hosting and security providers may process access logs to deliver the site, diagnose faults and prevent abuse. Where retained, technical records should be limited to what is necessary for those purposes; an incident or legal requirement may justify longer preservation. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles.
The local contact tool
Typing into the contact tool does not submit your entries to us. JavaScript builds a plain-text preview in the page. Copying uses your browser's clipboard permission and downloading creates a text file on your device. This website does not store the message in localStorage or send it to an API.
Your browser, operating system, clipboard manager or backup service may keep copies under its own settings. If you choose to email us afterwards, your email provider and our mail provider process that correspondence as part of email delivery.
Messages you choose to send
We may receive your name, email address, message content and any information you include. We use this to assess editorial questions, investigate corrections and respond where appropriate. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating an accountable publication and managing correspondence. Where a request involves legal obligations or the establishment or defence of legal claims, those bases may also apply.
Do not send sensitive personal data, confidential object records or information about another person unless it is necessary and you are entitled to share it. We do not sell correspondence or use it to enrol you in marketing.
We aim to review routine correspondence for deletion within 12 months after a matter closes. We may retain a limited correction record, rights-related correspondence or material necessary for legal obligations or disputes for longer, based on its continuing purpose.
Storage, service providers and transfers
A preference saved on the Cookies page is stored in your browser until you change it or clear site data. It contains a choice, not your name or email address. See Cookie Choices for the storage key and controls.
Hosting and email providers may process information on our behalf. We limit access to what is needed for their role. If personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, applicable safeguards must be used, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual protections. Contact us for information relevant to your correspondence.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month, with any lawful extension explained.
You may complain to Ireland's Data Protection Commission or your relevant supervisory authority. There is no automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects in this site's own tools.
External links and updates
External websites have their own privacy practices. We do not control what they collect when you follow a link. This notice may be updated when the site's practices change; the effective date will identify the current version.
